Divisions of Play
Division placement is determined by a combination of variables including the player's little league age, skill level, prior WMLL and other baseball experience, Little League guidelines, WMLL bylaws, and parent input. Your registration should follow your desired division, but actual placement will be based on WMLL assessments (for players league age 8 and older.) You will find information below to help with this process.

Little League Age
We offer baseball programs for all kids ages 5-14 according to Little League International's age chart. Please refer to the Little League age chart linked below to determine your child's Little League Age for the Spring 2025 season.

Special Division Requests
When registering, select the age appropriate division for your player. If you want to request for your son or daughter to be eligible to “play up” in an older division, enter that request in the special request section on the registration form. Please note, however, that limited play up requests are granted as our experience over many years has shown that players benefit more from being in an age appropriate division as opposed to possibly having to compete for playing time and not pitching in an older division. Likewise, enter “play down” requests in the special request section.
WMLL reserves the right to re-assign a child to a division other than the one in which he or she is originally registered or requested by his parent. This is done for a variety of reasons: safety, the need for equal teams, for the development of any one particular child, to ensure that each division has the requisite number of players, or for the general well-being of the league as a whole.
Buddy & Team Requests
For the Farm, Entering Minors and Returning Minors divisions, WMLL will do its best to accommodate friend and team requests. Starting with AA, all placements are done via player draft after mandatory player assessments. No requests will be honored outside of ensuring that coaches are paired with their children.
Schedules & Time Commitments
Baseball games and practice schedules won't be published until after registration closes and team formation is complete (late January/ early February).
Tee Ball & Farm divisions should plan on one practice per week and one game per week.
AA, AAA, Majors & Juniors divisions should plan for one field practice, one batting practice, and two games per week.
Locations
Games will be played on the list of fields as shown here: WMLL Fields. Practices will be held either at those fields listed, or at local schools. Your coach will be responsible for practice field selection and timing.
