The Dave Geoffrion Award is presented annually at the Opening Day Ceremony to a special individual who has made a significant impact on West Marin Little League as a volunteer, manager, or coach.

The Dave Geoffrion Award is the highest honor we can bestow someone in West Marin Little League

As is our tradition, the Dave Geoffrion Award is presented by the previous year’s winner.  The Dave Geoffrion Award recognizes an individual's extraordinary commitment and dedication to WMLL.  The winners of this award are in rare company.  This honor is given with admiration and respect for the years of service and tremendous dedication of time and effort to West Marin Little League by these extraordinary honorees: 

It takes a crew of people, literally, to take care of all of our beautiful Little League baseball fields across West Marin.  Unlike most Leagues, which rely on a school district or town to maintain their fields, WMLL is solely responsible for overseeing many of our fields, and it is only the work and dedication of our tireless "WMLL Field Crew" that keeps them in tip-top shape.  The annual Rudy Contratti Field Award is bestowed on a WMLL volunteer who has gone above and beyond in helping us take care of our beloved WMLL ball fields.  

This award recognizes the outstanding work and dedication to our League of one of our fine youth umpires.  The award is in memory of Phil Torres who was a longstanding WMLL and District 3 volunteer umpire.  Phil was known for taking a keen interest in the quality of the kids' baseball experience, while also being passionate about his umpiring responsibilities.

West Marin Little League's community mourns the loss of Tim Pult, who for many years was an active supporter and volunteer for our league.  A former board member and coach, he spent numerous hours supporting our kids in the community.  The 2017 Opening Day Ceremony included a special celebration of Tim's life and contributions and impact within our community.  

As a board member, Tim was responsible for significantly growing our league sponsorships and thanks to his hard work and dedication, we have a robust set of local sponsorships whose support allows us to provide the resources we need to have the wonderful baseball experience for our players in WMLL.  His contributions and support were provided during a critical period of WMLL and helped to bring our league back to solid ground when it was faltering.  In addition he organized all aspects our WMLL opening day parade and also volunteered as a coach for many years.  Tim’s effort and contributions to WMLL were recognized by being awarded the prestigious Dave Geoffrion award for outstanding service. 

In addition to supporting youth baseball, Tim volunteered his time for many years as Athletic Director for the St. Rita's CYO program.  He was one of those folks in the community that did all the hard work, volunteered for everything and never cared about getting the credit.

Tim could be loud and outspoken at times, he was old school, but he had a heart of gold who would give the shirt off his back to someone in need.  He was devoted to his family and to the causes he supported including his community and St. Rita School & parish.   He was a tireless worker who did not seek the limelight, but took pride in putting in the hard work to get results.  You could always count on Tim when he gave his word.
